Admaiora takes part at the International Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference

Admaiora project takes part at the 41st International Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference (Berlin, from July 23–27). The research team of The BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna is composed of Leonardo Ricotti, principal investigator of the project, Lorenzo Vannozzi, Technical Project Manager, Federica Iberite and Francesco Fontana, PhD students in Biorobotics, and Sabrina Ciancia, collaborator of the Micro-Nano-Bio Systems and Targeted Therapies Lab.
In this edition, the principal topic of the international conference is “Biomedical engineering ranging from wellness to intensive care”.
Our research team is involved in two poster presentations and a oral presentation. Also on friday morning (8,30-10) Leonardo Ricotti, will manage a mini-Symposium entitled “Physical Triggers and Nano-Biomaterials for Tissue Regeneration”. At the heart of the debate there will be Admaiora vision.

This is the full schedule of events involving our team:

POSTER SESSION: Micro/Nano-Bioengineering; Cellular/Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials (July 24, 18,30-20)

  • “Influence of Substrate Stiffness on Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells: Preliminary Results” – Federica Iberite Iberite (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna), Marco Salerno (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia), Cluadio Canale (Dept. of Physics, Univ. of Genoa), Alessandro Rosa (Sapienza Univ. of Rome), Leonardo Ricotti (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna);
  • “Nanocomposite Thin Films based on Polyethylene Vinyl Acetate and Piezoelectric Nanomaterials” – Lorenzo Vannozzi (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna), Giulia Mariotti (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna), Leonardo Ricotti (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna).
